Drone roof inspection

See the whole roof without anyone climbing it.

Drone roof surveys with high-resolution imagery and a written condition report. Safe, fast and no scaffolding.

Some roofs are too high, too steep or too awkward to inspect properly from a ladder. That is exactly when faults get missed and when a survey becomes guesswork.

A drone puts a high-resolution camera over every square metre of the roof in a matter of minutes, so you get a proper look at the ridge, the valleys, the flashings and the chimney without anyone having to climb anything.

How we work

Clear stages. No surprises.

  1. 01

    Book

A drone survey takes a fraction of the time of a scaffold inspection and needs no access equipment.

  2. 02

    Fly

Systematic passes over the whole roof so nothing is missed, with close shots of every detail.

  3. 03

    Report

A written condition report with annotated photographs, in plain English.

  4. 04

    Advise

What needs doing now, what can wait, and what does not need doing at all.

When is a drone survey the right choice?

Pre-purchase surveys, where you need an honest view of a roof before you buy. Storm aftermath, where you need to know quickly whether there is damage without waiting for a scaffold. Period and high-pitched roofs that are genuinely awkward to access. And any situation where a ladder inspection would be guesswork rather than a survey.

Questions answered

Questions about this service.

Ask to see recent work nearby that you can drive past. Ask for a written quote and a written guarantee on workmanship. Ask who will actually be doing the work. Ask what's happening with the deck, the underlay and the ventilation, not just the tiles. Anyone who quotes without looking at the roof, or who won't put the guarantee in writing, is worth avoiding.

Most roof repairs are smaller jobs than people expect, a handful of slates, a failed flashing, a cleared and re-fallen gutter. The cost depends on access, height and how much of the roof needs to come off to reach the fault. We survey before we quote and give you a fixed written price. If the honest answer is a €300 repair rather than a €15,000 roof, that's the quote you'll get.

Almost always what's underneath. Underlay that's perished, battens that have gone soft, inadequate ventilation, or fixings that were wrong for the pitch and exposure. The tiles are the last five per cent of the job, and the part you can see, which is why everyone shows you that.
