Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to work carried out by Enniskerry Roofing. They are intended to be clear rather than exhaustive. Where a written contract or estimate is issued for a specific job, that document takes precedence over anything general here.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are provided free of charge following a survey, in writing, and are itemised. The price agreed in the written estimate is the price charged, except where hidden conditions are discovered once work is underway, for example rotten timber or structural issues not visible at survey. In that event we stop, provide photographic evidence, and agree any variation in writing before continuing.

Surveys

Surveys are free and carry no obligation. An estimate is valid for the period stated on it. Where an estimate depends on a material price or a specification, that is set out in the document.

Carrying out the work

Dates are agreed in advance and are weather-dependent. We only strip as much of a roof as we can make weather-tight the same day. Where weather prevents work, we will notify you and re-agree the programme.

Guarantees

Completed work carries a written guarantee on workmanship, issued before final invoice. The specific term and scope are stated in that guarantee document. Manufacturer material guarantees are separate and governed by the manufacturer's terms. Guarantees do not cover damage caused by third parties, extreme weather events beyond design, or subsequent alterations by others.

Payment

Payment terms are stated on the estimate or invoice. Title in materials remains with us until payment is received in full.

Insurance and safety

We hold public liability insurance covering our work, including work at height, and will provide a certificate on request before work begins.

Planning and building regulations

Where work may require planning permission or compliance with building regulations, we will flag this at survey. Obtaining any necessary permissions is the homeowner's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
